Lindsay Moffat is an artist/activist from Alberta, Canada; with a Master of Fine Arts in Digital Art and New Media from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Her work attempts to bring attention to the treatment of non-human animals in the Factory Farming Industry. Using video, animation and installation, she draws parallels between marginalized groups of people and the handling of animals raised for consumption. Her research into the psychology of animals and humans is mirrored in the complicated layers of digital collage.
Presenting the multifaceted arguments as juxtaposing images,
Lindsay uses her personal journey and reflections to create an inclusive narrative that strives to bring awareness and understanding to the plights of millions of animals across North America.
